The 20th charity whisky tasting of Armond Dishers WhiskyNews took place on 13th May at Hotel Huerner in Ansbach, Schlossstraße 7 under the motto „Old and Rare“.
34 participants enjoyed a wonderful evening with exquisite whiskies, hosted by whisky icon Peter Augstein and yours truly. The proceeds were an incredible 3600 euros.
Half of the proceeds received Foerderverein Luetzelsoon e.V. and the other half Chanzo Kenya.

We tasted these whiskies:

Old Rhosdhu 1993/2022 29YO 51,5%, Villa Konthor 15th Anniversary Bottling, 60 bottles only, which I contributed to the tasting.

In the remaining bottles were one dram each, if the bottling plants meant well even two. The most expensive residual dram of the evening was the Highland Park, which went for 66 euros.

Auctioned were also:
Teaninich 2007/2022 15YO 56,0%, donated by Munich Spirits Club
Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Peated 50%, donated by Colin Barclay, Director of Hart Brothers Ltd
Dingle Fourth Small Batch Release 46,5%, donated by Josefine Koeßler-Preischl, Gasthof Stern in Greding
2x Sächsischer Festival Whisky 2014 53%, aus der Meissener Spezialitaetenbrennerei, 548 bottles only, donated by Siegbert Hennig
12 Whisky jams from the renowned Marmeladenmachers Franz, which alone brought auction proceeds of 125 euros.

Participants were also treated to some merchandise gimmicks from Beam Suntory, as well as a Glencairn glass donated by Hart Brothers Brand Ambassador Mark Abram.

Angie Pabst from Brauhaus Huerner and her staff had prepared the room perfectly. Many thanks for that.
